iPod won't boot/be recognized

Model A1136 / 30, 60, or 80 GB hard drive / black or white plastic front

I replaced the HDD with an iFlash, but now my iPod cycles between the apple logo, low battery warning, and the sad iPod/. apple support logo.

Any help appreciated.

Are you able to put the iPod into disk mode?

Options

Since you are getting the low battery warning, you may need to replace your battery.
