I accidentally put sim opening tool into "bottom" microphone

Hello everyone. As in tittle. Now sometimes I can't record my voice but after restart it works again.

What damage I did? Quality of sound is still good.

Have I punctured waterproof layer too?

It is supposed to be still fully IP68 rated, since the waterproof seals are not in the same line as the microphone hole. You can watch the disassembly video of JerryRigEverything on YouTube for reference.

If, after watching the video, you are still uncertain about waterproofness of your device, Huawei may revert to you if you ask them. Bear in mind that sending the device and letting them check it (no repairs) will cost you some money as well. I think it'll be somewhere between 40 and 50 euro.

EDIT: I watched video, it makes me feel better (that I didn't destroy anything and that I'm not THAT dumb inserting sim tool into mic :))

I would no connect record possibilities with supposed damage that you did. The question is how far went he Sim opening tool and have you felt any resistance when you pushed it. If there was an obstacle and you pushed your opening tool then probably you've damaged the vault.

Microphone thou should be fine since it is mounted not-directly behind the hole but parallel to the housing
