Top case, last T8 screws stuck - can't loosen.

Replacing upper case (Macbook Pro 15” Retina - Mid 2015)and got to last 6 screws and I can’t loosen them. “Six 5.3 mm T8 Torx screws securing the display to the upper case.”

Am using correct T8 screwdriver but they are extremely tight.

Any ideas?

Solved. ‘Old School’.

Put screw driver in screw and tapped 2 semi-light but sharp taps with rubber mallet.

Then put small locking vise-grip pliers on screwdriver handle at right angle (for leverage).

Pushed down hard with heel of hand to keep bit in screw and slowly turned.
