Hi

I wonder if you have upgraded your 3G to the newest iOS ?

They have stopped supporting 3G in the newest (4.3) iOS, which CAN, but not have to, mean that they focuse less on battery-saving processing in the 3G.

I have experienced the same thing as you, and I just concluded with that Apple wants me to buy a new iPhone 4 (which I did).

by

your right apple probably wants me to buy a new phone. :(

I would recommend to downgrade to 3.1.X, which is the most stable version for 3G.

by

i'd agree with shai..3.1 is good the 4.x.x is a whole heap of trouble

I have not seen ifixit's battery that they are distributing in person (images look very much like the ones I have been using successfully), but I have seen a number of smaller batteries being put in to replace their dying, oem counterparts.

Perhaps shoot them an email inquiring about a replacement? It's not unheard of for batteries to be bad, and it's not easily tested until regular use.

i am pretty sure the problem is not with the new battery, i think its a software issue.
