Flashes orange light but won't turn on

My device won’t power on at all, I can plug in a charging wire and it blinks orange lights, but still won’t come on. I don’t believe the water damage stickers are tripped either. Can anyone help me diagnose this?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Did you mess with the battery at all?

by

Yes, i checked voltage and charge on battery and it has charge still and charged it up in another charger, the device blinks orange and when i attempt to press the power button it stops blinking and does nothing at all. with or without battery in it does this.

I also would like to note when i do try to turn it on i just noticed the blue light comes on for about .5 seconds and goes back off along with the orange light.

I messed with my battery and put the prongs on the wrong connecters

Any body got a fix for that

@carson nicholson you most likely blew F1 fuse, either buy replacement and solder it or replace entire C/TWL-SUB-01 board.

Unplug and re-seat the battery, also, if you have a voltmeter, check that the charger is putting out the correct voltage.

It's not the battery, it's because if inside there are 2 pin holes and at the bottom there is 2 pins that have to be pressed when making a connection to the port where the battery pins are, so when you plug in your charger it sounds like either the charging port is damaged or the pins are not making the connection, the blinking light is only showing that it making a connection to the metal inside the pinholes( you can just about see 2 gold metal pieces near the top of the pinholes) but you won't get a charge from it , it will only show the light blinking because it's trying to find a charge and because it's not making the connection its cutting off hence the blinking light.

Hope this helps in more detail for

I had same problem when I blew F1 fuse on C/TWL-SUB-01 circuit board (the on under dpad). I purchased replacement and my DSi started working. I could also try to buy fuse and replace it, but my soldering skill and tools were insufficient.
