XBOX ONE controller A button won't respond.

Model 1537 controller. The “A” button rubber conductive pad had failed so I ordered a replacement. I installed the replacement pad but the “A” button is still unresponsive. The button doesn’t feel like it has enough spring under it. Am I missing something? Do I need to order one of those metal patch buttons for it as well?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Try that rubber thing on those buttons that work. If they’ll still work, than it seems like an issue with metal thingy underneath that rubber on “A” button. Except it’s one with PCB which means that it’s either a new gamepad or a new PCB to buy.
