Why won't my replacement battery take a charge?

I got a replacement battery from iFixit, replaced it with no problems following the tutorial. But, when I went to turn it on (I have to have my power adapter plugged in) the battery level icon is shown with an X through it on the login screen but the logo then disappears as soon as I log in. I have tried resetting SMC and PRAM but it did not help, the light on the magsafe shows orange and when I go into system info it shows that my battery isn’t charging and is at 0%. I’m not sure where to go from here?

You might have a bad battery. You’ll need to contact the IFIXIT store directly.

To be sure how about running CoconutBattery to see what its telling you and paste a snapshot here for us to see as well Adding images to an existing question

I just uploaded the snapshot, could the connection to the battery be bad or does this just mean its a bad battery?

Sadly you have a bad battery ;-{ The micro controller within the battery is dead.

Well thats better than the connection being bad because i broke it during installation I suppose! Thanks so much for the help!
