My battery is fully charged but machine won't turn on.

Just replaced the charger with a new one and charged the battery. The onboard battery tester indicator lights all light up.

But, pressing the power button gets no response at all. Can I get some kind of schematic to do some troubleshooting? Or perhaps there is a common failure of this sort?

I’m a retired electrical engineer so I should be able to do it.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Have you tried a pram reset? You can achieve this by trying the following:

Resetting PRAM

  • Shut down the computer.
  • Press the power button.
  • Before the grey screen appears, press the Command, Option, P, and R keys at the same time.
  • Hold the keys until your computer restarts and you hear the startup sound a second time.
  • Release the keys.

Let me know how you go.
