iPhone 6 won't charge after dock cable replacement

Hi all,

I've changed the headphone / jack cable on my iphone 6 twice. Both times the headphone jack would work but the power connector was dead - any ideas?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Seeing as you have already tried two dock connectors. Was the phone also not charging with the original dock connector that came with the phone?

It sounds like the Tristar charging IC is at fault here which requires micro soldering to replace that chip on the logic board. The phone decided to stop charging one day right?

If it is Tristar you'll have to take it to a reputable phone shop that does board level repairs on iPhones.

Thanks for the reply.

I have put the original cable back in the phone and it does charge, however the cable has to be bent at a very certain angle

Then I think the replacement charging docks that you've tried are all defective, have you tried getting it from a different / more reputable supplier?

Some suppliers I recommend are iFixit, Mobile Defenders, Mobilesentrix or Injured Gadgets.
