Replaced Lightning Port - Screen has lines, and touch doesn't work

I swapped out the lightning port part on my iPhone 6. It now charges and shows up on iTunes, but it now shows white lines over the screen (but I can still see icons, etc.) and the touch doesn't work on the screen.

I've disconnected the battery and display ribbons several times, but it doesn't seem to fix the issue.

I may have mixed up the screws at one point while reassembling - could this be a result of long screw damage?

White lines are usually caused by an improperly connected screen. When you connect the screen, you should hear and feel a subtle yet distinct "snap". You should also take a closer look (magnification helps) at the condition of the connectors. They are easily damaged or can contain debris which impedes a proper connection.

Could this also account for the Touch not working on the screen?

Yes, improperly seated connectors can affect touch also although the Touch and LCD functions are on separate connectors.
