iPhone 6 home button doesn't work around the edges

Hello, my home button lately has been feeling wobbly and it sometimes doesn't work when i click it despite hearing a click. As i investigated, i see that it doesn't work if it is pressed near the edges. How do i solve this issue? Thanks.

There is a small screw on the back side of the button that holds it in place - it sounds like the screw is starting to come loose.

You will need to open the phone up and tighten that screw on the back of the button - only tighten until it is snug, do not over tighten.

I opened up my phone last night and it seems like there was a rubber nub or something behind the home button that attached it to the cover behind the button. That was kinda eroded, so i took a tiny ball of 2 sided tape and put it there. It's kinda damped now, but works much better.
