Why won't my tv stay on?

We have a panasonic tv TY-LA1001 ELE3 and we can turn it on and it works. However after about 3 minutes the screen will go black and the green light will flash. After about a minute the screen turns back on and we can resume watching. This happens continuously and we've tried resetting it multiple ways. Anything may help so please any suggestions are beneficial! Thank you!

The model number you posted is for a replacement lamp for a DLP type of TV. There are safety circuits built in to the TV that will shut it down when there are problems detected. It sound to me like the set is overheating. These lamps generate quite a bit of heat. Check the fans on the set to insure that they are clean and are operating properly. Use a vacuum and clean out any dust near and on the fans.

If that does not resolve the problem, please post the model number of the TV and I will research for more possibilities.
