Tail lights, plate lights, and dash lights don't work.

I found the fuse box (under the steering column) and replaced the correct fuse. I turned the key to see if the lights were on - and they were!

BUT then they weren't. Stopped working within 30 to 40 seconds. What to try next?

Check your fuse again. It probably has blown again. If you find that the fuse has blown again, then you will know that there is an electrical short somewhere. Take it to a mechanic.

The good news is that your car is very standard; it can be repaired by pretty much all mechanics.
