My phone is always black, cannot undergo recovery mode but it vibrates.

Device: Oppo R831K

It was long time when the phone went just black and it was never fixed.

I searched also on the internet how to fix it and they said to put the phone into recovery mode. But when I power it on or try to open the boot or recovery mode, it does nothing but vibrate but the battery works and it can be charged.

It just vibrates and the screen won't show anything not even the logo or boot.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Sounds like an LCD issue. Have you tried opening it up and checking the cables and connectors? It would also help to have another LCD to test on it. Does your computer read the phone through USB?

Hi Craftimations,

This sounds like an LCD (screen) issue.

Luckily this means that your phone is likely completely fine on a board level. Although, as @cstkch said, you could see if the screen connectors are properly connected before you purchase a new display.

Unfortunately, as the Phone is now quite dated finding replacements is complicated.

I was only able to find two sources for replacements online:

I hope this helps, let me know if you have any further questions :)
