Battery doesn't lasts more than 3 hours after replacement.

I've replaced the battery of an ipod touch because it was over worn. However, after replacement the symptom of worn out battery remains the same: leaving the ipod in stand-by for 3 and a half hours it will require a battery charge.

If I play music it lasts even less.

Playing games the fully charged won't lasts more than 20 minutes.

Please, anybody else ever saw this happen?

Options

try turning down the screen brightness. turn off bluetooth and wifi. also turn down sound and also try a system factory reset as a last resort.

I tried, dude. Even with the brightness at minimum the battery goes out in steps of 10% every 3 or 4 minutes.
