Replaced Screen, iPhone scree Disabled

Like title states, iPhone 6S Plus screen was replaced and now saying "iPhone Disabled Connect to iTunes".

What could have caused this? How to fix it? I couldn't back up data because old screen was broken and touchscreen wouldn't function to enter passcode.

You will need to connect your device to iTunes, and sign in with the Apple ID that was associated with the device, then, unfortunately, you will have to restore the device and either set up as a new phone, restore from iCloud backup, or iTunes backup. There is no back door around an iCloud locked device.
