Toshiba Laptop won't turn on, black screen

Hi, I have a toshiba c50 and about maybe an hour ago, it turned off and the display will not come on. Usually, a white light comes on but when i turn it on, the light to the power button comes on and two out of three lights come on, the one on the left and the one on the right but the one in the middle does nothing and the number lock light comes and you can hear the laptop begin to start but it sounds like as if it is stalling. I've tried taking out the battery, pressing f8, f12, basically everything. Any suggestions? Thanks so much

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi @run4thecube ,

Connect an external monitor to the laptop to check it if it showing any display.

External monitors cost too much money...is there any thing else I could try?

@run4thecube this is a Toshiba so there will be no helpful documentation out there. You need to start troubleshooting somewhere. Use a monitor from a friends/family members computer (or take your computer to it)and just connect it to see if your Toshiba still displays anything. that way you can determine if it is the LCD or if it is a bigger failure somewhere else.
