Craftsman LT2000 won't start

Sometimes it will start but, most times we have to jump it. The engine engages because you can see it turn. Sometimes manaly turning it helps it start. The battery is new, all electrical has been checked. Fuel line and carburetor are clear.

It is like the battery is discharging between uses. We have replaced the battery twice and still have to jump it.

@kbp1 if it starts with a jump start all the time, then you are having issues with either the battery circuit or the charging circuit. My guess would be charging, since you said you've already replaced the battery. Once your mower is running use a multimeter on the battery cables and check the voltage. Let us know what you find. Your mower (if you have a model number please supply it to us) will likely have an external regulator which receives AC current from the stator under the flywheel. The regulator changes the current to DC so the battery can use it. A basic multimeter can help with the tests
