Why doesn't my screen work
The model of my notebook was not an option but it is an HP 15-ay041wm and I have owned it for a little more than a year, but about a month into owning it, the screen completely stopped coming on. The notebook itself is still on, has all of the lights and such on, but the screen is black, how do I go about fixing this problem?

1. Try connecting an external monitor to the laptop to check what the display is like on it.
2. Shine a torch at an angle close to the laptop screen and see if you can detect an image at all (with the laptop on of course). If you can it denotes that there may be a backlight problem.
Has the laptop been dropped at all or gotten wet?
