MacBook won’t turn on, but battery indicator says fully charged

I left my Mac sitting off the charger for a few hours, and now it suddenly won’t turn on. It was working just fine when I used it last, with no issues. It could have possibly been exposed to some water (I had a water bottle that leaked a tiny bit onto the bag it was in, but I’m not sure if any of it got on it, and it was only enough to make the bag damp so it wasn’t even that much water.) When I plugged it in, the light on the charger lit up like everything was fine, and the battery indicator said it was fully charged. However, it still won’t respond when I push the power button. Any ideas on what might be the issue here?

It sound that it have liquid damage. Try to disassemble it if you can and dry it out from liquid, check if there is any liquid inside. Ask a friend for help , or go to a store to clean it up for you. Sometimes 98% alcohol help.

After you are sure that is not have any liquid . (If it have liquid you will do more damage)

Try to make SMC and PRAM reset. Try to Boot it with power adapter. Try to long press the power button to force it start. Try to dissemble it and remove carefully the battery connector and start it with power adapter.
