MacBook not booting with new battery ,shuts at apple logo. AC only

The computer will boot and run normally off of AC power with the NEW battery DISCONNECTED With both the battery and AC adapter connected, however, it will shut down (after the chime, during Apple logo.) Furthermore, if Iboot the mac with ONLY AC POWER and then reconnect the battery while at desktop, it will shut down.

the charger light remains green, when the battery is CONNECTED and DISCONNECTED

it boots with the old BLOATED BATTERY connected, but obviously, does not charge it.

all reset have been done, still no chrge(green light) and shuts off at logo. i am currently posting this using the macbook, I can use it if its plugged in to the AC, but with the battery disconnected from the motherboard.

what can I do before i take to service OR what should buy??? what could be wrong??

Your battery charge logic on your logic board maybe damaged!

First lets check the MagSafe charger review this Apple T/N Apple Portables: Troubleshooting MagSafe adapters. You also want to make sure you have a 'real' Apple charger! There are a lot of fakes out there some will damage your system! Lacking safety features, cheap MacBook chargers create big sparks

Lastly, you'll want to get this gem of an app! CoconutBattery it will help you 'see' whats happening with your batter, charger & the charging logic. get a screen snapshot of the main window and paste it here for us to see.

i have pasted a screenshot, im not sure what to look for since im using the macbook without a battery...

by

Put the bloated battery in or the new battery otherwise we can't tell whats happening with the charging logic.

i cant.... it WONT BOOT ... even with the chargerr connceted...... it just says green. gets to the apple logo. then it shuts down.

in order to get it to boot, i have to UNPLUG THE BATTERY.. and it works fine.. im using right now, just with magsafe connected. but NO BATTERY.

You stated "it boots with the old BLOATED BATTERY connected, but obviously, does not charge it." We can't get there any more??

I can't tell if your new battery is just not charged (because the charging logic is bad or if you have a defective battery (new).

SMC appears to be working so if its the charging logic its likely the MOSFET's are bad. They could be shorted which could explain why your battery failed.

yup, threw away the bloated battery, and it would boot with the old battery connected and also the magsafe BUT the same thing happened, it turned off when magsafe was off. and the battery was dead.

new battery does the same, so.... it cant be HD cus im suing it just wihth magsafe... im confused, not sure what should i replace....

it could be the new battery is not charged but the funny/odd thing is the macbook shuts down when i plug in the new battery(even it its booted to desktop with magsafe)

your new battery could be empty... did you try to leave it off and let it charge up for and hr or so? if that wont work, then double check your batt capacity . if its fake battery it could have lower mAh and could not supply enough juice to our mac to finish boot up

the charger stays green if I leave the battery connnected, (even after doing resets)

by

if the battery is "empty" and cannot supply enough juice.

WHY does it TURN OFF when the AC is CONNECTED.

let me remind you, it BOOTS WITH AC.... if i plug in the battery when it has booted, it shuts down. thats the odd part, why it shuts down when both the ac and battery are connected.

by

So power supply is trying to change your battery and feed your device at the same time. That's why it cant boot up... because important part of power eats up you faulty battery
