Screen Replaced but touch screen doesn't work

So I just replaced the screen on a surface pro 4, however the touch screen doesn't work when i use my fingers. It works fantastic with the pen and with the keyboard, but not when I use my fingers. The cables are seated properly so I don't know what the issue could be.

Did you double check the digitizer board behind the screen to see if the ribbon cables are fully inserted and clipped in?

The touch screen is defective on the screen, which is pretty unfortunate.

I'm guessing you already checked the touch screen cable that plugs into the surface logic board and the mini board on the screen.

aww man! I did check the cables on the ntrig and the other cables as well. they're all seated properly. im going to do another check and then have someone else look at it to double check. i haven't sealed it yet so that's the good news.
