Phone won't power on after replacement lcd

Just replaced the LCD screen on iPhone 6 and it won't turn on. I have not put the screws in the metal shield yet. No dim image. It does vibrate when I attempt to hard reset but to no avail. Please help?

Not the LCD I swapped it with another phone and it works perfect. I did notice one the phone there is a small amount of battery adhesive that has lifted from the top of the battery. Could this be the issue??

by

The battery adhesive is not the issue, that part of the adhesive usually gets loose over time.

Was the screen connected / unplugged while the battery was still connected?

If yes, then the issue may be due to the backlight circuit going bad from a short circuit.

Have you tried the old screen to see if it works?

Also to check for no backlight, unplug and plug the battery in then turn the phone on and check for an apple logo at the middle of the screen with a flashlight.

If you see a dim apple logo then the backlight circuit is gone and needs to be repaired by someone that does micro soldering / board level repairs.

Battery was disconnected. No apple logo. I did notice that the black board directly below the cables is warm to the touch. Could this be the issue?

by

Black board? Do you mean the metal cover below the screen connector area? That is usually where the CPU is, north of the sim reader area. It's normal for it to heat up, especially a lot when the phone is turning on.

by

Yes it is directly above the sim reader.

But the phone will not turn on
