My laptop won't turn on

My laptop won't turn on,black screen and all. It's been charging for like more than five hours and no matter what I do it never comes on or shows any sites of coming on. What do I do?

Hi @taytayb416 ,

Try the following:

1. Disconnect charger

2. Remove battery

3. Press and hold laptop's Power button for 30 seconds, then release.

4. Reconnect and switch on charger (leave battery out at this stage)

5. Try to turn on laptop.

If it turns on, let it boot all the way to the Windows desktop, allow the HDD activity to settle down then shutdown the laptop in the normal manner.

6. When the laptop has completely shutdown, switch off and disconnect the charger.

7. Reinsert the battery.

8. Reconnect and switch on the charger.

9. Try to turn on laptop.

If it turns on, let it boot all the way to the Windows desktop, then check the battery charge status.

if it is charging, allow it to fully charge before switching off the charger and disconnecting it.
