phone will not turn on, batt. will not charge

I dropped my phone and landed on the top corner , is acting like battery is dead and the only thing that displays on the screen is the battery when I plug into charger and does nothing else. What could be the problem?

Options

It looks like the power cable ribbon from motherboard has got loose. There are multiple things could go wrong.
