Desktop won't connect to internet although other devices will

I have an HP pavillion model 23-q014. It connects wirelessly. Other devices connect to my wifi just fine. When I view connection settings it says "connected", but I can't connect to the internet. I read the advice to another person about going to command prompt and pinging. I tried that. I pinged google.com and request timed out twice, then it replied then timed out. In the end it said: Packets : sent = 4, Received = 1, Lost = 3 (75% loss) . After this, I typed TRACERT google.com and the end result said:

1 * general failure.

I also pinged 192.168.0.1 and it said 4 packets sent, 3 received, and 1 lost.

I also pinged 127.0.0.1 and the results were what they should be.

As I write this(on a tablet) , I checked my HP desktop and the internet connection is suddenly working. I'm worried the connection might fail again because this isn't the first time this has happened. What could be causing this problem?

Try updating the drivers in Device Manager, you may need to connect to HP.com /support to download the drivers.
