iPhone 6 screen does not light up with multiple screens & phone is on

Just today i got an iPhone 6 from a friend. The phone screen is completely off with no way to get it on. However, the phone is able to turn *on*. The phone vibrates when muting it, it plays sound & vibrates when charging, it vibrates when booting up, and it can be detected fine by iTunes. However even after rebooting the screen is still completely dead.

I thought this would be an easy screen replacement, but even after changing the screen and the battery, the phone screen still doesn't light up. I can get the phone to boot fine, but im not able to do much with iTunes since it requires me to type in the passcode. It seems the phone is unable to supply power to any screen. Is this a board level issue?

It sounds like it could be a backlight issue. To test this, plug your phone into an iTunes enabled computer and then shine a bright flashlight on the screen. If you can see a dim image, then it is a backlight issue. If you can't see an image, then it may be an LCD driver issue.

Either way, your issue will require a micro-soldering repair.

As for repair, look locally for a reputable shop that does micro-soldering repairs. Ideally, you want to find someone local but good workmanship trumps locality. There are many shops worldwide that do this so you shouldn't have any problems finding them. Talk to them and ask how they do their work. Focus on troubleshooting, as opposed to shotgun replacement, and good practices like proper cleaning of boards once completed etc.

If you can't find one locally, then consider mail-in repair. There are several reputable micro-solderers patrolling this forum. You can also click on my profile to learn more about my services, at the very least, it can serve as a data point.

Hi.

1st try put phone in dfu mode, turn off the phone, after 10 seconds turns press home button and power button. if this not solve your issue, then is logic board issue, it might need new component on motherboard,
