What would fix MBP that won't use battery after water spill?

I spilled water across my MBP keyboard. I quickly Shut Down, then left like a teepee overnight. In the morning I dismantled completely. Took the Logic and all other non glued parts out. Spotted some light water here and there but not on any circuits. There was some slight corrosion on first pin of the Battery connector board which I cleaned with board cleaner. I left parts to dry longer then reassembled.

What I found on power up is that the Battery always indicates 0% and will power off the moment the MagSafe is removed. The MagSafe light is green. Also, the machine runs a bit slower.

The Power / Battery Information is:

So, the battery is talking, but is reported to be bad. Is there anything here that indicates anything else needs fixing besides the battery? What would fix this Late 2013 MBP?

Eternally grateful,

Aaron

The battery is not holding a charge. It should be replaced. It was probably shorted out when water was spilt on it

I purchased the battery kit from ifixit based on your advice. I just installed it and the laptop's back to normal, running great! All the speed is back which is such a relief. Thank you! Thank you!
