Why won't my ps3 slim grab onto disks anymore?

The system works great. I took Guardians of the galaxy out and immediately tried to put in Darksiders 2 and it would not catch onto the disk. I had to push the disk in before it grabbed into it. The system reads it perfectly and ejects disks just fine. Does anyone know what could be wrong with it?
