iPhone 6s+ keeps clicking on things that I'm not even clicking on?

A few weeks ago I replaced my phone screen along with the battery, and it was working fine for about 2 weeks. I now have the issue of the phone clicking on random stuff by itself. It happens randomly during the day and makes the phone almost impossible to use. The random touches seem to only be occuring in the lower area of the screen, registering touches mostly in the bottom 1 inch of the screen.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Have you put heavy stress on the phone like sitting on it? (sounds like digitizer)

by

ULEES- I occasionally sit on my phone by accident but I dont think that would be the issue since I keep the phone in a case at all times.

The pressure of your weight could damage the screen

by

ULEES- is there anyway you know of to verify/test if that would be the problem? or any fixes?

Hey Brandon, what is possibly happening is the battery could be not properly installed pushing on the display, because what is happening is ghost touch. You may need to try reseating the battery, and reconnecting all of the connections. You should reach out to where you purchased the display from if this doesn't fix the issue.

No problem, I hope all goes well, good luck sir

Update: After reseating and being absolutely certain the connections are good, the issue is still occurring. Ghost touch still occurred when testing front panel separated from rear case. Im going to reach out to ifixit.

Yeah that's definitely a defective display.

Glad you were able to narrow that out, I hope you were able to get a new one, and install it successfully.

This May be caused by the replacement display being faulty. i’d suggest taking it back to the repair shop and getting them to do another repair on it, if you have a screen protecter installed on the phone it may be the problem as it may have air, dirt and/or dust inside, some cheap protectors are often crappy.

If it didn’t cost much to fix the phone, then thats most likely to be exactly why its happening. So try getting it replaced at another repair shop.

I hope this info helps you! :-)
