Digitizer/touch doesn't work after replacement

So, we have and iPad 3 where the screen got busted. Ordered the replacement from iFixIt, and put my tech-genius 16 year old on the job (he's replaced numerous iPhone and iPad screens in the past). Unfortunately, he DID make one rookie mistake—he sealed the screen back before making sure everything worked. *sigh*

We powered it on, and lo and behold, no touch. It powers on and looks great. Just no response to touch.

It DID work with the old broken screen, so I'm fairly confident it's not a logic board issue. Any thoughts?

If I pull this screen off to double check connections, I won't have any way to seal it back up, right? So do I have to order a whole new kit?

If you don't have B7000 liquid glue already, get some. You'll thank me later.

It is very useful in many sorts of applications when you want to stick screens down. Assists with screen adhesive (if the one on the screen is not good enough).

Easy to remove, easy to clean off.

you can lift the digitiser back off and use 3m double sided tape to stick if back down, if lifted off clean enough there maybe enough adhesive that if you add some heat it might adhere again. you will need to take it back off anyway to see if its a bad connection or bad digitiser
