Top right near power button gets hot!

I recently purchased ifixit iphone 6 battery replacement and after reassembling everything, I notice that the top right part near power button below the camera gets super hot really fast. Is there a solution to this problem?

P.S: the battery i received comes with the connector that is a bit faulty (too long) so I bend the battery connector a little bit to connect it.

Answer this question I have this problem too

If you removed the screen to assemble the battery, make sure the screen and camera connections are firmly in place, also try to narrow down exactly where the heat source is and replace the part near it.

Exact same thing just happened to me. I still have the 6. Had to replace the battery because it would die literally after 25 minutes. I just replaced it with a scanditech battery and immediately noticed the top right of my phone is hot and the battery is STILL draining fast. Ugh. Must be something else wrong with the phone beside the battery. Any suggestions? Email me aruple25@aol.com Thanks!

If anyone else has this issue, theres 2 possibilities: whoever worked on the phone last forgot to plug in a flex cable. In the top right corner is a flex cable at a right angle. If you forge t to plug it in, the power button will get hot, the camera won’t work, and the top speaker won’t work. The whole top right corner will heat up terribly, and the battery gets eaten alive. All you have to do is look to see if there looks like a spot where a flex cable should go. A common mistake is accidentally screwing the logic board on top of this cable and completely hiding it from view. Out of sight out of mind.

the second is that whoever worked on it last May have bent one of the screw connections in the top right corner, or used a screw that is the wrong size. right next to the flex cable I just mentioned. This would made a bad connection, therfore creating a lot of heat and battery drain. The way to fix is is either try to straiten it out, get a smaller screw, or buy a new piece.
