Why won't my PC startup correctly?

Ok, so when I start my PC up, it will display half of the screen with glitchy static boxes, and the other half is just black. Then I hear eight beeps, and sometimes the screen will get brighter or just remain the same. I tried holding F8, Function, holding and/or repeatedly pressing D, as well as draining the battery. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Turtle16668 what model is your PC? Have you checked a external display? Same situation? Post an image of what your display shows so we can see what you see. Use this guide Adding images to an existing question for that.

Turtle16668 for your Dell the 8 Beeps on startup means the LCD on system has failed. connect an external monitor and see what that dispalys. If it dispalys okay you want to check the wiring from your motherboard to your LCD. If that is okay you need to consider replacing your LCD.

If an external monitor will display the same error consider your motherboard having issues with the GPU. This would quickly become a board level repair. For any further hints on that we would need to identify your motherboard. Give us all the numbers that you can find on it or post some good images of your board with your question. for that use this guide Adding images to an existing question
