Why won't my phone charge?

My Phone keeps blinking in between a overheating symbol and a charging symbol. It never goes above 1%, I have tried a few soft resets. I have carefully taken out the battery and the sim card and tried that way. I'm tried holding the power button and home button. When I get it to turn on it always say "Unable to open this application, Your Device is overheating." The device has no heat anywhere either. I can't access settings at the moment either.

Answer this question I have this problem too
