Why am I getting a "no service" flag?

I used it all day yesterday (in the field) just fine, and all my other iDevices seem to have cellular connectivity here at home, so why all of a sudden am I getting this fault (and yes, I turned off the wifi and it has no connection)?

Dear one, It could be a SIM failure issue. Reset the network settings on the iPad and see if there will be service coming up. If there is still no service i'd suggest testing the SIM in another device just to confirm and get a SIM replacement done....when you done this then ping me on the same.....thanks

Raichel,

"Dear one?" Anyway, I shut the iPad off, pulled the SIM card (it looked normal), and reinstalled it. When I turned the iPad back on it worked fine. I know this doesn't help your troubleshooting knowledge database, but it solved my problem (at least for now). If this happens again I may try your process, but how do I "reset the network settings"?

Thanks "cutie"

Dear Tom,

you can go to this way and reset your network settings:-

1. From the Home screen, tap Settings.

2. Scroll to and tap General.

3. Scroll to and tap Reset.

4. Tap Reset Network Settings.

5. Tap Reset to confirm.
