My GameCube discs won't spin, also doesn't display start up menu

Both my GameCubes will not spin discs, and also does not display the game cube start up menu, but it powers on with light and fan working. Not sure what the problem is, borrowed my friends working cables that she used often, still nothing. Anyone know whats going on?
