White screen and now won't turn on

I was using my phone on facebook, clicked a notification and next thing I know the phone gets a white screen with multiple red vertical lines, each spaced equally. The phone was unresponsive so I took out the battery and put it back in, I then attempted to restart it and nothing happened, I tried plugging it into an outlet to see if it was the battery but there was still no response, I then took out the battery again and just plugged the phone in without the battery.....nothing, the next day I tried plugging it into a PC.........still nothing, what could have gone wrong and is there a way to fix it or is my phone done for?
