How to replace the motor (or perhaps just the fuse)?

My immersion blender shorted out. There was a flash of light inside the housing and now it will not work. Any ideas for how to replace the fuse, or perhaps the whole motor?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

How to replace the fuse

Our KitchenAid model 5KHB100 started smoking while using it. Looked up instructions on disassembly and could find none.

I took this one apart, it is not screwed and clips holding the case together, it is glued and not easy to take apart without damaging it a bit. Not made to be dismantled and repaired.

I have a couple of photos of the inside.

Time to go source a replacement.

Hey Garry, any tips for unsealing the glue? Did you just use a heat gun?

Hey Mike, I didn't but could have helped if I had used one. Just pried it apart hoping there were clips to make reassembly easier.
