Replaced LCD no display!

There was dust between my LCD screen and Digitizer Screen so I took it apart and cleaned it. In the process Stupid me bend the LCD screen and broke it. I ordered a new LCD screen and replaced it following online instructions. Re attached the old back plate onto new screen and replugged the cables however there is no display what so ever! I thought maybe the phone was out of battery so I charged it in and PC recognized it. I then tried turning it on and again No display. SO I put in my broken LCD back in and still, no display...whats the issue??

I was examining the new LCD panel and behind the ribbon close to the CHIP and LCD there is a slight tear very slight and the copper inside can be seen. It's not a complete tear, the black coating on the ribbon is peeled slightly. Could this be the issue? However, the old LCD won't work either and there i no tear on its ribbon.

Check and clean connector 1. Either that or you have blown another LCD/ ordered wrong part or been given bad lcd. Try hard reset... Press and hold home and power button for 10 seconds or try iTunes restore
