How to fix iPhone 6 red screen, reboot loop after screen replacement?

I purchased the front panel assembly to repair a cracked screen. After completing the repair, the iPhone would not turn on - it went into a reboot loop, intermittently showing a flashing red screen. I did a hard restart, (unsuccessfully) attempted a DFU restore, all with the same results. Eventually, I checked all the connections on the front assembly to the phone one by one to be sure they are connected well. Still the same problem. I saw someone else posted a comment with the same problem and found the problem to be with the home button connection. So I unplugged the home button first from the front assembly with no improvement, then I unplugged the home button from the phone side with no results. I put the original screen assembly back on the phone and it works great. Does anyone have any ideas or solutions I would greatly appreciate it?

You will need to open the phone up again and unplug the battery then the front camera cable, then plug the battery back in and try turning it on again.

If it boots up fine without the red screen reboot then you will unfortunately need to get the front camera ribbon cable assembly replaced, this should be covered under warranty if it is found to be faulty.

Contact where the reseller and tell them that the front camera ribbon cable assembly which was pre-assembled with the screen was found to be faulty causing the red screen of death bootloop and the phone worked after I unplugged it.

If it boots up to iTunes Recovery Logo and not red screen of death turn off, that is because of a failed restore attempt. Use 3UTools (Downloadable windows application) to try to kick it out of recovery mode.

If it won't kick out of recovery mode then you will need to restore it.

If it still red screen of death apple boot loops then check the front camera connector on the logic board for any lint on it.

This is the answer!!! It worked for me!! Thanks Ben!! After unplugging the front camera ribbon it booted fine. So I replaced it with the front camera ribbon assembly from the original screen I took off. Everything was fine with original screen assembly except a small chip/crack in the corner of the screen. Thanks again for your help!!!
