Why won't my computer start?

Could be a number of things battery ram power supply you need to provide more info for me to be able to help you

My gateway NE56R31u will not turn on I push the power button the blue light flashing and screen stays black and doesn't turn on

A bad, failing, or inadequate power supply often causes this issue. If the hard drive is not getting enough power during the first time the computer starts, it cannot spin the hard drive platters fast enough to start the computer. However, if you restart the computer a few times, because the platters are already spinning, it can sometimes boot.
