Really weak Wi-Fi, changed antenna with same result.

Hi guys!

I have a iPhone 6 with a really weak Wi-Fi connection. It can only keep the connection within one meter of any router. And since Im a fisherman I thought I would bring this phone out this week to fix it using spare parts I already have.

I have changed the antenna in the top-left corner of the phone, that as far as I can remember is the Wi-Fi antenna. But I was completely baffled when I booted the phone up with the same weak Wi-Fi signal.

The phone is currently on 9.1, but my internet connection out here at sea is to slow to actually download and update. And since I have started it again as a new iPhone I thought I would be clear out of software related issues.

Is there anything I have missed? Have I forgotten any secondary antenna that can be the thing causing the phones connection?

Im all ears, Im out at sea until next Monday and have quite alot of time to spare.

Best regards, Isac.

The L shaped Wi-fi antenna cable might need replacing instead.

I might add that I have been without internet here at sea for 6 hours whilst doing this, and I panic-posted the second I got internet again. A few seconds after this post I actually searched and found out about that it might be the Antenna cable.

Thank you though! Will rip the phone appart again in a hour or two and see if it might do the trick.

I was thinking about moving over the logic board to a fresher housing eitherway.
