So you can't separate the LCD from Digitizer but...

So you can't separate the LCD from Digitizer but... can I buy the digitizer and lcd and frame separately and put it all together? if it won't be glued like the preassembled unit why are companies selling the parts separately?

We glue the LCD to the glass?

You can put it all together, but if you don't attach them with glue, dust could possibly get in between the digitizer and LCD. In my opinion, companies are selling them separately to rip people off. It happened to me.

Ok so consensus is buy it all together.

I haven't seen it cheaper than a 100 dollars anywhere :/ that's absurd considering the 10 dollar 3G/3GS screen.

And I don't think think the 4 has a screen that's 10 times stronger.

Hey you can buy an adhesive tape for digitizer on ebay :)

It seems that the tape was made for the every margin of screen.

So, if you use heat-gun or hairdryer something properly, you can separate the two parts.

hey

ok i want to sperate the 2 parts, i know its not so easy but when the lcd broke i buy a new one, i want to test it.

i hear here an ifixit it gives a tutorial to make it with a hairdryer or heat-gun, can someone say me where, i search but found nothing.

Actually, when it comes to replacing them separately...it is easier to place them together when they are separated. LCD won't move because of the compartment that it sits in...the digitizer is easier to put the glue on and snap in when it is just the digitizer....and they aren't ripping you off because you are paying cheaper price for them both over them placed together....by about $5....
