4g LTE is on, but there's no Internet connection
From the get-go, I already had issues with not being able to connect to the Internet, unless I was on WiFi. Straight Talk had me add a new APN, and it started to work fine without needing WiFi to connect.
The phone did a UI update on its own, and now there's no connection. 4G LTE is on, data access is on. Yet, when I try to get on chrome or something, it says I'm offline. I've tried resetting the apn, removing sim card, etc., no dice. I haven't had it for even 24 hours.
Any suggestions/recommendations so I'm not constantly having to fix the issue?

Since it did an update. try a factory restore to see if this fixes the problem.
Write down all the settings that you have had to put into the phone (extra APN etc) before you do this as it will erase all your data and downloaded apps.
You will have to enter the settings again
It will reset the phone to the last successfully installed version of the OS. There may have been a "glitch" with the update.
