Charging outlet on phone won't work

My charger will not charge my phone. I think the wrong charger was tried to be put in and maybe bent a prong??? Is that possible and if so is it fixable or do I need to get a new phone?

it is fixable; the charge port is on a flex cable you can order online. pretty simple to fix that one.
