Replaced 3GS display and now touchscreen doesn't respond properly.

I just replaced the front display on my 3GS and now my touch screen does not respond properly. I can unlock the phone as well as slide pages however when I try to select an app it never selects the one that I touch. On the top part of the screen it almost always selects the app directly to the left of it and on the bottom row it seems completely unresponsive. Did I hook something up incorrectly? Or is something on my replacement panel broken?

first check you purchased the right part and not that for a 3g- they aren't interchangeable. second, try resetting phone by pressing and holding home and power buttons until apple logo appears then allow to reboot. it those things don't solve the problem you need to check connector 2 & 3 and the flex for damage and that they are in right.
