Vaccuum quit while I was vacuuming - tried to push on the bin & quit

Was vaccuming and it was suctioning properly so pushed down on my bin to make sure it was in place and the vacuum quit.

@lauriesnelgrove , Laurie, Try removing Bin and then re installing bin in case the bin not locked into position correctly. This info from Dyson site, Most Dyson vacuums have a built-in safety system that stops the machine if it begins to overheat. This usually happens because the filter needs washing or your machine is blocked. If your machine turns off on its own, unplug it and leave it for at least an hour to cool down. Remember to check the filter and look for blockages before re-starting. I believe your Dyson DC 37 may carry a 2 year warranty and if you are in that time frame and machine still not working, use your warranty to make a claim for repair/replacement/refund. 1st link below shows how and where to look for blockages and 2nd link is Dyson support.
