Opened my dualshock 4 and now the buttons don't work

So what happened is this:

I recently had to change my controllers analog sticks and it went just fine, followed the guide and had no problem with it. So my friend asked me to do the same with his 2 controllers. One of them I replaced the sticks and everything was ok, but the other simply won't turn on anymore. It lights up orange when I stick the usb cable, so the LED is ok and I assume the motherboard may be ok, but I don't know that for sure. The battery is fine (tested in another controller) so it leads me to think that there is something wrong with the home button or the whole conductive plastic thingy.

What happened differently while opening this controller is that the reset button fell inside the controller, beneath the D-pad and I closed the dualshock with it inside. So maybe it managed to damage something.

If anyone knows what may be wrong or what may be broken I would apreciate the help.
