Chances are the touch IC is at fault. You can either get it repaired from apple (once an original screen is installed, note that they will charge more if the screen is cracked or not working)

or get the touch IC replaced by someone that does board level micro soldering for iPhones. Will cost about the same as apple would charge most likely.

I'm guessing there are no signs of water damage and the screen connectors on the logic board look fine?

@Ben is correct, your device likely suffers from Touch Disease.

Apple has just announced a (lower cost, not free) replacement program for iPhone 6+ affected by Touch Disease. Of course, they don't call it that. They will replace your device with a refurbished unit and there are numerous reports that even refurbed 6+ also suffer from Touch Disease. You will lose all of your data if you go this route.

If you need to recover your data, then look for a qualified repair shop that does micro-soldering repairs.

You have an iphone 6 plus like me and I had the same problem. I read a lot for this problem and I came to the conclusion that this is a problem with the touch sensors on your iPhone and must be replaced. This is a bit difficult but no matter see this video and i suggest you to try it...https://youtu.be/iKb2itJlxZ0
