My iPad 2 is disabled and iTunes won't restore from low space

I have a major issue that I just cannot resolve. I have a 64GB iPad 2 that is disabled because my little brother tried getting into it, but after many failed attempts, he disabled it. I installed iTunes on my family's PC (not a Mac) and tried enabling it again, but it said that my iPad doesn't have enough space. For what? I don't understand. Why would my iPad need space for restoration? I really need some help. Any help that can make at least progress would be heavenly. Thanks.

Put it in restore mode:

Connect it to your computer. Hold down the power button for 5 seconds. While still holding power, press and hold the home button for 15 seconds until the Apple logo pops up. Release the power button, while still holding home until "connect to iTunes" appears. Follow the iTunes prompts and you should be good.

If this doesn't work, report back. We'll get medieval on its ash!
